There is more to Somerset than Cider, Cheddar cheese, The Wurzels and the Glastonbury festival.
Overview
This West Country county has a diverse landscape ranging from high moorland, ranges of hills, gently undulating countryside, clay vales and low–lying wetlands. Largely agricultural, South Somerset is known for its pretty cottages and houses built in the warm, honey coloured local hamstone.
Over the last 10 years the charming local towns of Bruton, Castle Cary & Frome have become increasingly fashionable and have drawn in many high profile buyers from far & wide. Trendy Babington House put the area firmly on the map, followed by Hauser & Wirth in Bruton and more recently The Newt near Castle Cary.
